  • I offer online individual therapy across Texas for your convenience.

    Telehealth sessions occur in real-time via a secure HIPAA- compliant virtual platform, allowing to support from a distance, providing the same level of care as traditional in-person therapy.

  • For your convenience, I offer online individual sessions to Texas residents using a secure HIPAA compliant video platform available Monday-Thursday between 10 AM- 7 PM.

    You must be physically located in Texas during the session.

  • I work with adults, ages 18+

  • Individual sessions are 55 minutes. Every client’s therapy journey is unique. How long you need to engage in therapy and how often you attend sessions will be influenced by many factors including:

    • Your schedule and life circumstances

    • Therapist availability

    • Ongoing life challenges

    • The nature of your specific challenges and how you address them

    • Personal finances and resources

    We will continually assess the appropriate frequency of therapy and will work together to determine when you have met your goals and are ready for discharge.

  • To make mental health care more accessible, I accept United Healthcare, Aetna, and Cigna insurance plans. This ensures that more clients can receive the support they need without financial barriers.

  • Insurance benefits will vary from policy to policy. But generally speaking, If you use your insurance, you can expect:

    • There is potential for lower out-of-pocket fees and for out-of-pocket fees to go towards your deductible.

    • I am required to give a mental health disorder diagnosis that goes in your medical record. It is important to note that at times, having a diagnosis can be helpful (e.g., accommodations at work, being able to receive disability).

    • Some diagnoses/services & needs are not eligible for reimbursement (e.g., couples therapy, relationship struggles, work stressors, life transitions, etc).

    • Your insurance company will receive certain information, such as the times and dates of services provided and diagnosis.

    • Your insurance company dictates frequency of sessions and length of treatment.

  • If you opt for self-pay:

    • Having more freedom in choosing a counselor that is a good fit for you (not just one that fits the "in-network" bill).

    • Receiving counseling services for needs that aren't necessarily considered "billable" to insurance (I.e. relationship struggles, work stressors, life transitions, etc).

    • As your counselor, I will not be required to assign a mental health diagnosis for our time together which could then become a part of your medical record.

    • Our total number of sessions and session frequency will not be controlled by your insurance company but rather through our collaboration and reassessment as we work towards your goals.

    • I can provide your receipts of service (Superbill) for insurance reimbursement. Here is a link to check out what your insurance reimbursement for counseling might look like!

    You will be notified you of your financial responsibility via a Verification of Benefits estimate (opt to use insurance) from the billing agency or a Good Faith estimate (opt to use for self pay).

  • Contact your health insurance provider to obtain more information about your out-of-network mental health benefits through your insurance. Some helpful questions to ask your insurance company:

    • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

    • What is my deductible for out-of-network coverage? Has it been met?

    • What percentage of each session will I receive as reimbursement? (Common CPT codes used: 90834 for a 45-minute psychotherapy session or 90837 for a 55 minute psychotherapy session).

    • How do I submit claims for reimbursement?

    Payment is due in full on the day of your session. Your credit card information will be securely stored for automatic processing.

    I charge a cancellation fee equal to the cost of your session ($135) if you cancel less than 24 hours before your session.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

    • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

    • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

    • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

    The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct committed by marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, psychologists, psychological associates, social workers, and licensed specialists in school psychology. Although not every complaint against or dispute with a licensee involves professional misconduct, the Executive Council will provide you with information about how to file a complaint.
